Ayo West African Foods was born out of years of table talk about a more representative plate. As a husband and wife team, we loved connecting our friends and family through food and incorporating our favorite Liberian dishes along the way. In 2020, we quit our full time gigs (Perteet as a CPG industry exec; Fred as a former Corporate Finance leader turned Real Estate Developer) to pursue of dream of building a more inclusive grocery aisle for our girls that reflected the food we ate at home.
